Oh 2017 Reading – so much fun! From the moment we arrived to the sad morning we left.
Reading festival was the first festival I ever attended and it has gone down in history as my favourite festival ever. From the simple things like waking up surrounded by your best friends, to dancing to the headliners Major Lazer like the 17 year old fan that I was. It was an awesome week and totally lived up to expectation.
I woke up super early on the Wednesday morning because I was just so excited. The anticipation was quickly rising as I waited for my friend to pick me up at 9am. We drove from our hometown to Reading which took roughly two hours and I just could not wait.
We had early access tickets so we could arrive a day earlier than the general ticket holders to ensure we got the best spot to pitch our tent – they can be yours for only an extra £20.

After setting up the rest of the evening soon passed and we sat round the camp fire we had set up. The sun was setting and I relaxed while being surrounded my best friends.
As the next couple of days passed it soon became Friday – and that’s when the music starts! The first act of the day I wanted to see was Giggs and he exceeded expectations; he brought out Drake! what an unbelievable way to start off the weekend of music. There wasn’t to much i actually wanted to see on the Friday so I guess you could say my main focus was drinking and as the evening soon approached it soon became a crazy night. The light pollution from the rides glowed into the sky’s from miles away and it really was magical. Surrounded by 90,000 other people on the same vibe as you was awesome.

The weekend almost felt like it rolled into one. The lack of sleep and adrenaline felt like it was 72 hours of pure madness. The night time was definitely the best time to be at a festival, the vibe totally changed and thousands would be constantly passing you to see their favourite acts.
It was a memory I certainly will never forget.
From the over priced food, to the grotty toilets. It all rounded up into the best time I have ever experienced. And what better way to do it than experiencing it with your friends?
